The conference aims to explore issues related to the recruitment, selection and education of teachers focusing particularly on the dimensions of policy, professionalism and pedagogy in creating the conditions for developing the best teachers. 
Conference proposals can be research paper sessions, posters or symposia. All those planning to present a paper / poster or participate in a symposium at the conference need to submit an abstract. Abstracts will be blind reviewed by two reviewers and included in the Book of Abstracts.

The deadline for submissions has been extended until 23th February 2018
The deadline for abstract submission is 31 January 2018 and notification of acceptance will be sent to the author by 1 March 2018. Late submissions may not be considered. The conference language will be English
Presenters also have the opportunity to submit the full paper once their abstract is accepted. All abstracts and papers must be in English. A selection of papers will be submitted to a Special Issue in an International Journal and/or to a book that will be organized around the theme of the conference.

A selection of papers will be published in a book in an international publisher. Also, a Special Issue in an international journal will be organised with the best papers.


Abstracts should be of up to 300 words in length, including keywords and title. In order to submit your abstract, please use the following email:

Criteria for the evaluation of submissions

Reviewers will evaluate submissions according to the following criteria:

1. Does the paper clearly address at least one of the central goals of the TEPE Network?
2. Does the paper present innovative ideas or/and new knowledge on the subject under examination?
3. Does the paper present clear policy recommendations related to teacher education and teachers?
4. Does the paper fit with the expected requirements, including references and quality of language?
